Colleges Report Record Numbers of Applications

Published on: February 12, 2021

Although national data shows that, overall, college applications and enrollment were down this year, that’s not the whole picture.  Applications were up – significantly – at highly selective schools.  And that trend is likely to continue into the 2021-2022 application cycle, given that many of these same colleges have extended their test-optional policies in light of the continuing pandemic.

Below, we’ve compiled a list of application increases as reported by some of the top colleges in the U.S., and we will continue to update it as new information is announced.

Personalized advice on your college list and applications is available through our services at Expert Admissions.
