Seattle University officially absorbed Cornish College of the Arts, with nearly all the art college’s assets transferring to the university. Seattle University expects to enroll about 430 students at the campus— now known as Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University.
A lawsuit challenging the sweeping grant cuts at the National Institutes of Health can move forward, a federal judge ruled. This case– one of several challenging grant cuts at federal agencies– involves a public health advocacy organization, individual university researchers, and a union who sued in early April, arguing that NIH officials broke the law when they canceled $2.7 billion in grants.
New presidents were named at UC Riverside, Morehouse, Rutgers, and more.
Five alumni gave Colgate University a total of $105 million, including a $50 million donation from Peter Kellner, which is the single largest gift in the university’s history. The funds will be used primarily to support a comprehensive residential building program.
