It’s shaping up to be another tough year in college admissions with even more record low acceptance rates. Whether you started the application process late, wanted more time to bring up grades or test scores, or haven’t gotten the acceptances you hoped for, you might be relieved to know that there are colleges and universities still accepting applications.
In the world of college admissions, we often talk about the admissions “season,” which starts with Early Decision and Early Action deadlines in October and November and starts to wrap up with Regular Decision deadlines in January and February.
But it’s certainly not the case that every school follows this schedule. Many colleges have deadlines in the spring and well into the summer, and often schools with rolling admissions will continue to accept applications as long as they have room in the incoming class.
Note that schools with rolling admissions will often give priority to students who submitted applications by a certain date. It’s likely that there will also be earlier deadlines for students applying for financial aid.
The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) has put together a list of colleges and universities that are still accepting applications for fall 2022.
And if you’ve put off applying for college because you think it’s not the best next step for you, consider taking a gap year.
