Peace Corps

Published on: March 1, 2014

You might know someone who’s spent a year or two in Africa, South America, or Central Asia as a Peace Corps volunteer.  Peace Corps volunteers are sent all over the world to assist communities with Education issues, Youth and Community Development, Agriculture, Public Health, and other areas of need.  Peace Corps volunteers not only have incredible experiences abroad, but volunteers also receive more tangible benefits such as assistance in paying for graduate school, transition funds, and free travel to and from their host countries.

If you have thought about volunteering with the Peace Corps after college, the organization creates a list every year of colleges that produce the most volunteers.

Don’t want to go so far away from home?  Americorps might be a better match for you.
