Stefanie Tacata has worked with students from around the globe in numerous capacities. She taught U.S. History at California State University, Fresno. Ms. Tacata also taught academic writing, multiple language courses, and TOEFL preparation as a full-time lecturer at Baiko Gakuin University in Shimonoseki, Japan. There, she co-founded the university’s first English Education Resource Center and the Baiko Gakuin University Women’s Association. While in Japan, Ms. Tacata created and taught business English courses to the award-winning international sales department at one of the most successful companies in East Asia.
As the former Director of a language center in Manhattan, Ms. Tacata oversaw a program transformation that proceeded to earn national accreditation. As both a teacher and an administrator, Ms. Tacata has become adept at fostering students’ needs both academically and programmatically.
Ms. Tacata earned her MA in History with distinction from California State University, Fresno. She has presented her research on Modern Latin American History and Feminism at various conferences, both in the United States and internationally.
